IUPAT/CUA Soccer Clinic
On Saturday, April 24, 2004, the Men and Woman’s soccer programs at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, hosted roughly 20 children from St. Anne’s Infant and Maternity Home for a day of soccer instruction and fun. The children, ranging in age from 6-12 years old, competed in a variety of soccer-related exercises. The soccer players donated meals from the school dining service to provide lunch to each visiting child. Also, PATCH(Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope) funded the purchase of a T-shirt and soccer ball for each child. The first annual clinic was a huge success resulting in a fun-filled day in the sun. The counselors and children from St. Anne’s Home were extremely grateful to everyone taking part in this day and requested this become an annual event. Again, the IUPAT went out of its way to help those who may be less fortunate and continued its dedication to the community.
